The list of silly things is endless...but a classic "michelle" moment was when I was walking into the shops digging around for my car keys in my handbag so I could lock the car...couldn't find them and I'd got about halfway from the car to the shop so I stopped and had a really good rummage...still couldn't find them so I looked up to the car and realised that not only were the keys still in the car, but the car was still running....oops!
ReplyDeleteOne of My silly things that I do was this morning. Went outside to see what #1 son was up to with his mates and they were trying to fix his ute, so me being the cool mum that I am decided to get my hands dirty with them.. I have no idea about cars but thought I was cool now after 3hours of scrubbing my hands and nails are still covered in grease...But at least I was cool for the brief moment :)
ReplyDeleteA silly thing that I have done "before going out is to stick my sunnies up on my head then go looking for them everywhere, frustration sets in and i make it known... only to be told by my 6 year old that my sunnies are on my head...
ReplyDeletesilly mummy is what i get told lol..

oops another silly thing and i just left an anon comment
Ok I have now joined to fallow your blog and I have given you a shout out on FB but I hope they don't enter b/c I want this. How silly have I been or how crazy am I. For the last two years I have thrown over the top bday parties for my little girl. The fisrt year we did a Fancy Nancy tea where I let all the little first graders make me over into as fancy as I could be and then I served them their tea and cookies that way. Then last year I dressed up as one of the Fairies for Pixie Hallow. Vidia was the one I did. I made a tutu for me to wear and bought wings and made myself a flower crown for everyone was dressed as a fairy. Mom should be to right?? I did both of these with all the little girls moms around...no shame in our house I guess..now I have no clue what she has planed for me this year to try to be the best mom and party person ever.
ReplyDeleteLast Friday was my major silly for the year. Took the car to the mechanics for a wheel alignment but was told it would needstruts done as well. No problem. Work couldn't start till this Wednesday. So I left car and caught the bus home. Not sill??? I live 65km from the mechanics, the bus does not run through the school holidays and I am stuck at the end of the dirt road for another week.

Oh, I think silliness comes hand in hand with motherhood, LOL!! I swear I didn't do nearly as many silly things before... maybe.
ReplyDeleteI do silly things all the time, especially forgetting things - getting to the gym and realising I left my gym shoes at home... driving all the way to the post office and realising the parcel is still sitting on my kitchen bench...
I follow, and I love Melly and Me!
ReplyDeleteSilly things I have done?
Backed up into my husbands truck IN THE DRIVEWAY!!!
sigh....

I rode my 8 year old son's bike around the local BMX track today! Big person, little bike ..BIG lumps of dirt. I think I really probably did look a bit silly. It was fun though and yes I probably would do it again! :-)...
ReplyDeleteOh and i have also driven the car into the back of the garage wall - (3 times now). I was pregnant each time and that is the excuse I'm sticking to!
I do silly things all the time. I think my favourite was trying to find the Police station and wondering why I was driving around in circles even though I was following the signs. After awhile I realised I was following the parking signs instead of the police ones. Oops! I was pregnant at the time though so I blame preggie brain for that one.
ReplyDeleteI reversed out of our shed with the car door open! Broke the car and the shed :( hubby was so nice about that one.
ReplyDeleteThe latest silly one was doing a white wash and not seeing a red washer got mixed up with the lot :( Pink undershirts for hubbie - pretty pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe latest? My DD is on placement at a hospital on the other side of town. She leaves for work at 5:45am. Thursday morning I woke up and thought it was 6:06am and padded down the passage to find out why she wasnt up. It was 12:06am.....
ReplyDeleteOh dear I had one of those moments today... I raced out the back door to grab an arm full of dry washing thinking it's ok the kids didn't see me, I'll leave the door open so I don't have to get the keys and unlock the deadlock.
ReplyDeleteBIG mistake!
My son followed me and shut the door behind him so his 11 month old sister didn't follow him!
Luckily 45 min later Hubby arrived home to find me on the front porch jumping up and down to keep warm (no jumper or shoes on - doh!) our son happily playing on his swing and our Daughter pottering around inside emptying all the kitchen cupboards!
hmmm, something very silly I will never live down, was getting on my sons green machine, out in the street, 'this is how you do it'
ReplyDeletefanging up and down our street, did a big skid and sudden sharp turn, I end up on the road, neighbours all enjoying the show.
laughing stock of the street.
just one of the many silly idiodic things I do on a daily basis!!
this morning i did something very silly...i warmed up my bubs bottle and then shook it not realising that i hadnt put the teat on yet so milk went flying everywhere across my nice clean kitchen lol
ReplyDeleteMy family calls it silly but when I'm in the car heading somewhere, I pray to the parking fairy to get me the carpark closest to the place I need to go.
ReplyDeleteWorks 80% of the time.
I get dogged for this all the time, but I think others are just jealous! LOL
I did a major silly when I was 10. I was playing out the front of my nana's house and showing off to the boys across the road. I decided to really show off and did a cartwheel off the retaining wall about 1 metre high... success!! So being quite big headed over my achievement I did it again only this time major fail!! I managed to break my arm in 2 places, went running up to mum saying "I think I've hurt my arm" and ended up at a hospital 40 minutes away in surgery to get my bones back in place.
ReplyDeleteSILLY BILLY ME!!! :)
When our family gets together for birthdays, we all join in and sing the happy birthday song. But we don't just sing, we sing our very worst, loudest, off key that we possibly can. It has become a family tradition that ends in lots of laughs for everyone. Pretty silly!
ReplyDeleteHmm silly things? Too many to mention!
ReplyDeleteJust yesterday I'd gone out with my three children aged 4,2 and 8 weeks in the pouring rain. BAD IDEA! Little miss 8 weeks sleeps in a cocoon in the pram so I leave her in it on the front seat while I put the other children in and the pram away. Well guess who nearly drove away with my poor babe on the front seat?!
silly.. well, just as an example - I have tried to pass the magnetic door to my workplace using my credit card, rather then my worker card... and tried again.. and again.
ReplyDeleteThis happens a lot!
it is a good share,wonderful post,thank you
ReplyDeleteLike everyone who has posted ,,, far too many silly things to note but one that never fails me is looking for my glasses when they are on top of my head ,,,
