Creative Challenge #1

We love seeing our fabric ranges made into gorgeous handmade items, so we are kicking of 2012 with a creative challenge for every new range that arrives at TOMG
Would you like the chance to receive the fabric and pattern to make something special….. all you need to do is head over and check out the fabric range, leave a comment below letting us know what you would love to make from the chic new range HOPE COVE by Robyn Pandolph and read the rules below. We will then draw 2 lucky winners and email or post you a pattern selected by TOMG and also send the fabric to you– entries close Sunday 15th January at 8.30pm
  • By entering you agree to create your masterpiece within 2 weeks from the time you receive the pack ( they will be basic patterns perfect for any sewing level)
  • Send us pictures ( to show off the fabrics and finished product/s)  that we can use on our blog/websites/facebook to promote the range by the end of the 2 week period
  • Have lots of fun :)
If you would like to purchase fabrics from this range we will provide you with a FREE PDF file of your choice from our huge range over on our sister site Patterns Only, for you to create your item ( you only need to send us a picture of the finished item)
Be sure to keep an eye on our blog for the next challenged which will be released in a few weeks

  1. The new range is absolutely gorgeous, so many ideas running through my head but I think the first thing I would make would be a ruffle layered vintage look skirt for some little girls I know :)

  2. Oh wow..what a beautiful fabric range. I believe the HOPE COVE BIRD TOILE BLUE ROBYN PANDOLPH would make the most exquisite skirt for a little girl..teamed up with HOPE COVE BLENDER BLUE ROBYN PANDOLPH QUILT CRAFT as a waist tie or bow..just beautiful

  7. Beautiful fabric!!!! I'd love to make anything from Pink Fig patterns, particularly Vintage Jane for my daughter. Anything ruffled or layered would look gorgeous!! I'd probably make matching cabbage patch doll outfit and definitely matching hairclips.

    HOPE COVE FLORAL BLENDER GREEN ROBYN PANDOLPH QUILT CRAFT FABRIC.
    Would make a vintage apron for my daughter who loves to help in the kitchen! Beautiful range :)

  10. This fabric lends itself perfectly to a dress or skirt - especially love the pink / mint combination - with a matching pair of soft shoes. Little Bird's fat quarter twirly skirt might fit the bill!

I would make a Ruffled bubble romper using HOPE COVE MAIN ROSE GREEN ROBYN PANDOLPH QUILT CRAFT FABRIC as the main fabric and HOPE COVE MINI ROSE CREAM ROBYN PANDOLPH QUILT CRAFT FABRIC for the ruffles. I would make the romper for my 18 month old niece, she has porcelain skin and would look a real vintage beauty in this fabric range

  18. At last a fabulous range that I can make 'old fashioned' aprons in for elderly friends and rellies. The Hope Cove Toile Green Shabby teamed with the Green blender would make a delightfully frilly vintage style apron. Can't wait to start.

  22. These fabrics would make a beautiful quilt but if I won there is no way I could manage to finish that in 2 weeks so the other thing I think they would be perfect for would be a lovely bag , maybe a gorgeous weekender especially for an indulgent girls weekend away.

  30. What a lovely collection. I can see it in a ruffled skirt using the rose cluster blue and mini rose in pink. I would make some shabby roses to add to a t-shirt for embelishments to make a little set
    I can also see some in a simple pillow case dress with lots of lace

  35. This new range is divine!!! I would love to make a medallion quilt from this, but in 2 weeks could make a gorgeous shaggy quilt instead. This range would also be gorgeous for a sewing room accessories makeover, sewing machine mat, machine cover, pincushion and inspiration board :)

  40. I can see this range being used to make a block quilt (sounds ordinary but looks great with 2 different fabrics) with the edges being dolled up with prayer points to give it the edge. Its the type of fabric you want to show the whole print off.

I Love The HOPE COVER MAIN ROSE PINK ROBYN RANDOLPH it would make a nice tote bag for either carrying my tapestries, scrap booking or sewing supply's around and it would look absulety beautiful lined with HOPE COVER FLORAL BLENDER PINK ROBYN RANDOLPH with gold piping and gold buttons and top stitching!

  55. The first thing I'd love to make would be a little ruffled sunsuit with matching hat from one of my vintage patterns. The second thing I'd love to use the fabric for is to recover or recreate my pram! Currently it is a boring brown. I would love to make it unique and girly for my 6week old daughter - and then love to go down to the park and show off to the other mums!!!

  56. The small rose prints would be ideal for the current project idea of making the Sugar Plum Fairy from FFF.

    Any of the rose prints would be ideal, using the co-ordinating blenders for the ballet slippers and the shabby spots for the wings. Add a tulle skirt and a pretty fairy to deling hearts young and old.
    Can't wait to get started! :)

My Grandma has just moved into permanent care in a small country hospital and this is the material I've been searching for a quilt to make her room look a little more homely, (with the HOPE COVE BIRD TOILE CREAM as the focal point). Of course with my limited sewing knowledge I'd say it would be more like a lap quilt.

  65. I think a really gorgeous shabby quilt would look beautiful in a combination of this material.

    But I don't think that is achievable in two weeks. I think a gorgeous patchwork shabby or vintage looking peasant dress would be beautiful!
